Dr. Kevin Jones is just amazing!

I carry tension, as many people do, in my neck and shoulders.  For a decade, my shoulders have always been sore to the touch, even after massage and relaxing vacations. I always assumed this chronic soreness was normal. My shoulder would hurt more during times of increased stress, or if I had slept uncomfortably.  When it became too painful to drive or move my head freely, I decided to try acupuncture.

After just the first session, my pain was reduced significantly.  He also recommended vitamins and nutrients I needed, and even gave me a complimentary Chinese herbal oil to rub on the sore areas.  The great thing about Eastern Medicine is that it treats to reverse the problem, not just the symptoms.  I went back each week for no more than six weeks, and not only was the pain in my shoulder gone, but the tension in my shoulders and neck were also gone.  The area didn't hurt to touch, and for the first time in my adult life, my muscles were relaxed!  This is saying a lot for someone who has a very hard time relaxing!

I had never had acupuncture before, and I thoroughly enjoy it.  The more I go, the more relaxing it is, and I even fall asleep during some sessions.

If you have any pain, discomfort, or malaise; serious or slight - I highly urge you to see Dr. Kevin Jones.    There are several acupuncturists in Los Angeles - but he is a very special.  He has global expertise, having studied and practiced in China and the US.  More importantly to me, aside from his thorough training and qualifications, is that he is an intuitive and caring doctor.  It would be a disservice to yourself and your health to see anyone else, especially if you are a first time patient.

Best wishes to you in your search!

2 check-ins here. First to Review. Was having some serious lower back muscle spasms. After filling out the paper work and some questions I was on the table receiving a treatment. He does take insurance just not mine :-( Anyway, the first visit is typically more for these things. As I've been going to acupuncturists for 18 yrs now. Dr Jones is one of the best I've seen in a while. Use the yelp special and save yourself some money. He's really good and just know these visits don't just happen in one visit. Although, I do feel WAY better now than when I walked in I'll be back to keep at the issue.

I went back for my second yesterday. Mind you I'm currently taking ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer to help loosen up the back muscle that's protecting the injury. So, see these treatments as a part of the processes to help expedite the healing process. That's exactly what the second visit just did. I was truly surprised how much he was able to get the muscle to relax and loosen. Kevin sent me off with a herb you make tea with that acts like a pain killer with worked pretty well last night. I have to say the second visit was much more reasonable that  the first consultation...
